Everyone is welcome to services and events!

                                                                                                                  POT LUCK SUPPERS

Generally in the evening of the last Friday of the month there is a pot luck supper for  members, friends and neighbours.

Everyone enjoys the opportunity to eat well without having had to prepare a whole meal at home!

Food is followed by music and/or a movie -  even highland dancing on occasion!

It's a great opportunity to relax and meet with friends and neighbours.

    Friendship Teas

Once a month there is an opportunity provided for those who "don't get out much any more" to get together for talk, music and a bite to eat.

Generally there is a short communion service before the food, music and chatting commense. Everyone interested is invited to join.

Just check our calendar for future dates and times.

An ongoing effort in support of the great work being done by the Foodgrains Bank

Many folks were pleased to be able to support the Common Vision musical evening with Ron Klusmeier and friends in our church last spring.  Attendees were asked to make a donation to the Foodgrains Bank, a Canadian charity that is on the ground now in South Sudan and other African countries, helping to alleviate the famine in those areas. This was a fine way to "make a difference" and to be treated to some really super music led by the composer, Ron Klusmeier himself!

We have been actively involved wtih the Syrian family that came to Sidney a few months ago.

They joined us for one of our Friday evening events recently, and the family's children came to church one Sunday to say "Thank you" with printed cards.  AND they are going to treat us to a typical Syrian supper at the end of April!

While these interchanges help them get comfortable with a new language, we are getting to know something of people from another culture. . . an opportunity few of us have had, living as we do a considerable distance from cities where people of all cultures and races tend to gather.

Library arts project at Stellys Senior Secondary

Members of our curch are interested in assisting a project at our local high school.  See the brochure:

We hope you will be able to assist us in this project that will lead to a significant addition to the high school . . . and to the good feelings it will generate in our younger citizens.
